The Arts
Box Hill Senior Secondary College provides a unique learning experience for senior students who are interested in the Visual and Performing Arts. The College has exceptional facilities and offers a broad range of subjects linked to pathways in the Arts and Music industries.

Visual Arts
The BHSSC Visual Arts program offers students a broad range of subject offerings include drawing, painting, printmaking, fashion, visual communication and design, digital media and art appreciation. The learning focus involves students making and responding to artworks, and drawing on the world as a source of ideas. Students engage with and develop knowledge of the visual arts, skills, techniques and processes, and use materials as they explore a range of forms, styles and contexts.
Contemporary Music:
The BHSSC Music program offers students with a keen interest in contemporary music, opportunities to participate in:-
- a band and perform at lunchtime concerts and venues around Melbourne using a full band PA system;
- recording projects whilst receiving expert advice on singing and audio engineering;
- individual instrumental lessons on guitar/bass, drums and voice;
- a balance of theory and practical work.
Performing Arts:
BHSSC has a rich history of students being involved in in the Performing Arts and students have the opportunity of studying Drama and Theatre Studies at the College.
