Welcome

Welcome to Box Hill Senior Secondary College. The College is a Years 9-12 Senior Secondary College, which was originally established in 1943 as a technical high school. The College offers a range of curriculum and pathways programs to cater for student interests and future pathways. Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.
Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address. The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.As we are in a period of growth we also encourage students outside of our local enrolment zone to consider us a potential school of choice.

Box Hill Senior Secondary College is committed to providing a rigorous and academically engaging program that will successfully prepare students for their future. Our College is inclusive and our diverse learning program focuses of the development of 21st Century skills and knowledge and being “Ready to Learn”. We view all students as being highly capable and we have high expectations for all students, in all facets of their school program.

Pathways and Programs

Box Hill Senior Secondary College offers a range of academic and vocational pathways opportunities including a full VCE program, Vocational Education courses (VETis), VCAL, Headstart (school based apprenticeships) and specialist sports programs including Basketball, Netball, Australian Rules Football (including AFLW) and Athlete Development. Our personalised approach to education assists all students with planning for their future, as well as linking into University, industry and community partners and their respective programs. Box Hill Senior Secondary College has a long tradition of success for our students and we are committed to ensuring that this continues into the future.

Leadership and Student Voice

As the Executive Principal for Box Hill Senior Secondary College I am committed to supporting all staff in their leadership development and growth so that all of our students are supported to become resilient, creative and confident members of our learning community. We highly value student voice and provide students with on-going opportunities to build their understanding of the importance of social responsibility, planning for success, being active members of their community and in positively overcoming the challenges presented to them.
