Additional Sport Information
Strength and Conditioning Program
The College has engaged staff from Active Lifestyle P/L to develop suitable strength and conditioning programs for all students in the sport development programs. Students are provided with individualised strength and conditioning programs twice per term which aim to take into account their competition requirements, injuries and the students' growth and development.
Physiological Support
Physical screening is completed for all student athletes twice per year by staff from Rookie Me P/L. The screening is sport specific and the results and recommendations are provided to students.
Physiotherapists from Bounce Health group are in attendance at the College each week to advise the student athletes of any injury management plan that needs to be implemented.
Uniform
Sport specific uniforms are purchased separately in the first year of a student's participation in the program.
Academic requirement
Students are required to maintain a GPA (Grade Point Average) above 2.0 throughout the year.
Insurance
Parents and guardians are generally responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including any transport costs.
The Department of Education and Training does not hold accident insurance for school students.
It is highly recommended that students have Private Insurance and Ambulance cover.
